Three-time Oscar®-winning filmmaker Oliver Stone returns to the screen with an all-star ensemble for the scorching thriller Savages, based on the best-selling crime novel by Don Winslow, which was named one of The New York Times’ Top 10 Books of 2010.  Blake Lively stars as Ophelia, the girlfriend to two Laguna Beach entrepreneurs, one an ex-mercenary (Taylor Kitsch) and the other a principled environmentalist (Aaron Johnson), who’ve built a thriving homegrown industry on the best marijuana ever developed.  When they refuse to sell their business to a brutal Mexican drug cart

Kick Ass 2 Update

The original Kick-Ass has something of a special place in my film collection, not only because it’s a great film and one that I adore, but also because it’s one of the first films to be reviewed here at accessreel.com back in early 2010.

From ‘X-Men: First Class’ director Matthew Vaughn, the original ‘Kick-Ass’ was a self-financed project directed and produced by Vaughn with a screenplay from his writing partner Jane Goldman. The film features humour, action and an unforgettable performance from both Nicholas Cage and Chloe Grace Moretz.

AccessReel Reviews - Kick Ass

However, one day he makes the simple decision to become a super-hero even though he has no powers or training.”
