Amy Adams

Amy Adams cast as Lois Lane in Superman: The Man of Steel

The news has hit today that Amy Adams (The Fighter, Enchanted), has won the much sought after role of Lois Lane in the Zak Snyder reboot of Superman: The Man of Steel.

Ending weeks of speculation as to who will be playing The Daily Planets dyslexic but brilliant reporter, Adams has come out of left field to take the role.

I think she is perfect for the role. Lois was always a few years older than Clark in all the best incarnations of the story and while there is more than a few years between Henry Cavill and Amy Adams, it will be more like the Christopher Reeve/Margot Kidder dynamic.

AccessReel Reviews - The Fighter

Dicky Ecklund is a former boxing legend that squandered his talents and threw away his shot at greatness. Micky Ward, his brother, is the struggling journeyman boxer who spent his life living in his big brother’s shadow. ‘The Fighter’ is the inspirational, story of these two brothers who, against all the odds, come together to train for a historic title bout that will unite their fractured family, and give their hard-luck town what it’s been waiting for: pride.

Paramount Pictures gives us the trailer for the upcoming film THE FIGHTER starring Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. The film centers around the true story of professional boxer "Irish" Micky Ward (Mark Wahlberg) and his older brother Dickie Eklund (Christian Bale). Amy Adams is also on board as a love interested for Wahlberg's character.

Theres no official synopsis released as yet, but the trailer looks fantastic and I've always been a sucker for a true story. There is no release dates set as yet.
