Twilight eat your heart out: Lionsgate's Hunger Games topped the Easter weekend raking in $33.5million at the US box office. This takes the film past the $300million mark in a mere 17 days - the fastest for any non-summer or non-holiday movie in history. Not a bad bounce-back for Producer Nina Jacobson who, only 6 years ago, was fired from Disney.

In this follow-up to the 2008 worldwide hit "Journey to the Center of the Earth," the new 3D family adventure "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" begins when young Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson, reprising his role from the first film) receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist. Vanessa Hudgens(SuckerPunch and High School Musical) and Josh Hutcherson(Journey to the Centre of the Earth and The Hunger Games) are heading to Australia to attend the Melbourne and Sydney Premiere's of JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND 3D which will be released on the 19th January 2012.

Lionsgate has premiered the Full-Length Trailer of THE HUNGER GAMES via Apple Trailers, we only had a very short teaser that came out a while ago so fans of the series have been really hanging out for this! I personally don't know much about THE HUNGER GAMES but with a pretty impressive young cast, including Australian Liam Hemsworth I'm quite looking forward to it.

THE HUNGER GAMES teaser trailer recently premiered via the MTV Music Awards over the the states a couple of days ago, we now have the HD Teaser to show you all. The film stars quite the impressive cast Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson and Donald Sutherland just to name a few and to be quite honest with you I don't know to much about the story but with a cast like this I'm there.

Yesterday I received a press release that the next 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth" film had just started filming and is called JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND. Back from the first instalment is Josh Hutcherson but no where to be seen is Brendan Fraser, this time Dwayne Johnson throws down in this new action adventure. Also hitting the net today was a whole bunch of set photos so I have a few for you. Heres some of the press release below.

Red Dawn 2010

With the depressing news about MGM bankruptcy been discussed over at Screenrant, there is concern about the future release of the 2010 version of Red Dawn, previously slated for release in November.

It is currently listed as still in production but from all information such as actor interviews it appears major filming is completed and just awaiting the green light for the finishing touches and distribution.
